Hi, I'm Daniel. For over 16 years, I've handled the parts of the wine business most people never see—global logistics, label compliance, and tax filings—for importers and distributors moving wine into and across the United States.

I started You First Imports for one reason: I kept meeting small importers who were brilliant at finding and selling wine, but buried under paperwork that had nothing to do with why they got into the business. And I met people who dreamed of importing wine but were scared off by the maze of permits and regulations before they ever began. That's exactly the work I love, and the work I'm good at.

Having grown up in Europe, I speak Luxembourgish, French, German, and English—which means when there's an issue with your winery in the Mosel or a producer in Bordeaux, I pick up the phone and sort it out directly, in their language. No middleman, no misunderstanding.

The name says what I mean by it. You come first. When you work with me, you're not handed to an account team—you work with me directly, and I'm reachable when you need me.
